Are you ready to kickstart a career in woodworking and manufacturing? We’re seeking motivated individuals to join our team as the Sawmill Operator — no prior experience necessary! Machinery and or chainsaw / woodworking experience a critical asset. This is an exciting opportunity to join a fun team of urban tree recyclers, that turns Winnipegs trees into quality home furnishings. As a Sawmill Operator, you’ll play a key role in transforming raw trees into high-quality lumber, supporting construction projects, and contributing to sustainable manufacturing processes. We provide comprehensive training to help you develop the skills needed to succeed and grow within our company.
Responsibilities
- Assist with operating sawmill machinery, including band saws and chainsaws following safety protocols and instructions
- Learn to measure and inspect wood products
- Support the setup and maintenance of equipment such as sawmill, power tools, and woodworking tools
- Handle materials safely using forklifts , skidsteers and warehouse equipment, ensuring proper stacking and storage of lumber
- Participate in routine cleaning, troubleshooting, and minor repairs of machinery to maintain optimal operation
- Support carpentry and construction-related tasks as needed, gaining hands-on experience in woodworking techniques
Experience
- No prior sawmill experience required — we train from the ground up!
- Familiarity with woodworking or metal tools, chainsaws and machinery a must.
- Skid-steer and or forklift experience an asset.
- Must have a positive attitude and hungry to learn and grow.

Pay: $20.75-$30.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40.0 per week
