Job Description
WHAT’S THE JOB?
Reporting to the Sr. Marketing Manager, the Marketing Specialist assists in the development and execution of the company’s annual marketing strategy, generating creative ideas to reach key audiences across the B2B buyer journey. The Marketing Specialist works closely with other members of the Marketing and Communications team as well as sales associates and operations team members.
The Marketing Specialist performs some or all of the following duties:

Assessing needs of our internal business unit stakeholders and collaborating on are commended approach, including key messages, content format and distribution channels to meet communication objectives

Stakeholder interviews with subject matter experts and other forms of primary and secondary research to establish industry and audience insights

Craft key messages aligned with audience insights to inform content development

Create story-based content, including blogs and case studies, for use on the website, social channels and campaigns

Project manage the creation of content, working collaboratively with business leaders, creative services and other members of the Marketing and Communications team

Assist the Director and Sr. Manager with developing audience-based, outcomes-focused marketing and communications strategies

Create editorial calendars for social communities, manage social communities, and ensure alignment with social media strategy

Publish content to the website and social channels using CMS and scheduling tools

Analyze engagement and results of content (campaign results, conversion rates, traffic, etc.) to help shape activities

Stay up to date on the competitive and industry landscapes

Perform other related duties as required
Qualifications
WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
-
Post-secondary education from an accredited university or college with a degree or diploma in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, or another similar program
-
5+ years of B2B marketing and communications experience
-
Strong SEO content writing and best practices with an understanding of the B2B buyer journey

Exceptional project management and communications skills
-
Thorough understanding of the digital marketing ecosystem and performance tracking, including campaign management, Google Analytics, keyword analysis, and search ads

Experience with various martech platforms such as Salesforce, SEMrush and Meltwater
-
Well-versed in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Teams
-
Adobe Creative Suite skill are considered an asset

Strong verbal and written communication skills

Well-developed organizational, time management and decision-making skills
-
High level of integrity, accountability, and work ethic

A passion for B2B content marketing
