Key Accountabilities:
Processes and supports completion of member transactions from start to finish utilizing mobile and digital platforms; including basic transactions (i.e. deposits, money orders, credit card advances, cheque cashing), new accounts, loan applications, loan and utility payments, RRSP requests, term deposit sales and withdrawals, calculation of foreign and domestic exchange, and electronic funds transfers.
Conducts interviews with members and provides information on the full range of loan, investment, and deposit products and services to meet their needs and further relationships.
Cross-sells all credit union products, including making referrals to Wealth Management& Commercial Banking, by analyzing member needs and recommending products or services.
Makes recommendations and processes appropriate documentation associated with the sale of all credit union products based on policies and procedures; ensuring application of appropriate rates and service charges.
Ensures compliance with all policies and procedures in daily activities to meet safety, legal and privacy requirements.
Responsible for area security and internal security audits. Oversees opening/closing procedures, including balancing of branch daily transmittals, transactions, and vouchers.
Resolves routine problems with member accounts and refers unresolved situations to the VP, Retail Banking for further action (i.e. delinquent accounts/collections).
Reviews reports on new accounts and term maturities to identify variances and required action; refers problem areas to appropriate internal personnel for resolution.
Conducts routine loan audits as directed by reviewing loan reports and identifying further action required to address problem areas and initiates action in accordance with established procedures.
Acts as joint custodian on specified combinations; rents, controls, and maintains related records.
Provides input into the development, support and the achievement of sales targets and marketing plans.
Maintains up-to-date knowledge of all credit union products and services in order to foster business development through service excellence and product knowledge.
Reviews and applies Risk Management policies and procedures and audit control standards in daily activities to ensure compliance and best practice standards to mitigate risk, including but not limited to, Robbery– BDA procedures, Proceeds of Crime procedures and Working Alone procedures.
Promotes and participates in branch campaigns/initiatives.
Acts as the accessible middle ground between the convenience and flexibility of supporting transactions through automation and providing additional personal advisory member service.

Experience and/or Educational Requirements:
4 - 6 years of experience in retail lending/credit and investments, with a demonstrated ability to build member relationships.
Experience in customer service and retail banking.
Proven informal leadership experience.
Demonstrated achievement of sales and referral targets.
Experience utilizing technology and mobile banking applications.
Lending and investment experience is an asset.
Grade 12 diploma or equivalent.
Working towards or completed a certificate, diploma, degree or designation program.
An equivalent combination of education and experience may also be considered.
