Under general supervision, the Credit Analyst II will support the general Commercial and Agricultural lending functions by performing a variety of administrative and analytical procedures. The Credit Analyst will prepare commercial loan renewals, review financial statements, and provide credit support to Commercial Relationship Officers/Managers. Accountable for non-relationship credit and risk management functions.

What does a Credit Analyst II do?

Prepare administrative support to the Relationship Officers/Managers.
Prepare credit investigations, security inspections and searches as required.
Work with Business Lending Support to oversee procession of credit progress advances and all other duties their department performs for the BBC.
Prepare credit facility letters for review; assist in resolution of outstanding security/account deficiencies.
Ensure a high level of member satisfaction by assisting members with loan and deposit inquiries; follow up on requests for information on interest paid, principal totals, loan payouts, posting errors and pertinent details of loan and/or deposit particulars.
Understand and use knowledge of member’s financial condition to effectively position the value of products and services.

Potential to progress into Credit Analyst III or Associate Relationship Officer Role.
Previous 1-2 years banking experience as an Associate Financial Advisor, Financial Advisor and/or Credit Analyst I.
Experience reading financial statements.
Service Oriented.

Education and Training:
Minimum Grade 12 with combination of education and practical experience.
Diploma in Business Administration or Management with courses in legal terminology or business law is preferred.
Financial Accounting for Lenders (FAL) and Commercial Loans to Small Business (CLSB) from OMEGA have been completed and/or willing to complete


Any other special requirements necessary to do the job:
Weekend or shift work, available to travel, etc. The business may from time to time ask for branch and/or department support for special projects and/or areas experiencing staff shortages. All employees may be asked to volunteer to assist in areas of need during these times. These assignments could result in a change of hours, location, and/or travel.
