POSITION: Journeyperson Electrician
TYPE: Permanent, Full-time (10 hours/day, 4 days/week)
LOCATION: LSKYSD Facilities Team - North Battleford, SK
START DATE: October 1, 2026, or a mutually agreed upon date
COMPENSATION: $37.93 per hour
Salary, benefits and pension are in accordance with the current CUPE agreement
Living Sky School Division is looking for a skilled and dedicated Journeyperson Electrician to join our team in our facilities department. This position plays a key role in maintaining safe and functioning facilities across the division.
Ideal Candidate
The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining the electrical systems of the school division. They will use their high level of technical skill and training to ensure building systems are well maintained, operating efficiently, and safe for staff and students.

About the Position
Typical responsibilities of a Journeyperson Electrician include:
- repairing, replacing, and updating aging electrical systems to meet new codes and requirements.

responding to trouble call requests from electrical failures.

performing preventative maintenance and basic inspections of electrical systems.

installing new electrical systems as part of construction and renovations.

Installing, troubleshooting and repairing fire alarm systems, door access systems, accessibility lifts and door openers.

performing maintenance or repairs on motors or electrical parts for HVAC and caretaking equipment.

ordering parts and maintaining a parts inventory.

organizing work schedule with an eye to prioritizing and efficiency.

coordinating with facilities team to effectively complete work.
Qualifications
- Must possess a Red Seal Journeyperson Electrician certificate with a minimum of 5 years’ experience
- WHMIS certification would be considered an asset
- Valid Class 5 driver’s license
- Proven ability to plan, prioritize, and self-manage
- Willingness to communicate and collaborate with others on projects
