Purpose of the position
The position will:
- Provides advice, support, and guidance in the area of expertise to public and employees

Plans, facilitates, leads, and evaluates a variety of fitness classes and workshops

Prepares and organizes equipment and supplies for related programming
-
Assists with marketing and advertising initiatives related to programs
-
Monitors activities of general facility users, enforcing rules, admission and conditions of use standards.

Assists with fitness centre daily operations, cleaning and preventative maintenance.
- Provides regular status updates and reports as requested

To be successful in this position, you will hold the following qualifications:
Required Qualifications::

Grade 12 Diploma
-
Minimum 18 years of age.

Diploma in Kinesiology, Recreation, Physical Education or a related field of work preferred.

Job experience:as a fitness instructor within fitness environment preferred

Alberta Fitness Leadership Certification Association (AFLCA), Group Exercise Leadership is required
-
Certification, Can-Fit Pro, or related group certification
-
Specialty fitness certifications (i.e. aquafit, yoga) are an asset
-
Standard First Aid, CPR C and AED Certification is required
-
Ability to lift 50+ lbs
-
Valid Class 5 driver’s license.

Excellent communications skills
-
Proficiency in computer applications and software
Position Details:
Status: Casual (as required)
Hours of Work: Various shifts (morning, daytime, evenings, weekends, holidays) and split shifts as operationally required.
Location: Bold Centre Multiplex
Rate of Pay: $35.47 to $45.45 depending on qualifications.
Casual Benefit: All access pass to Bold Centre Multiplex and Pool and access to Telus Health EFAP
