BC Place is hiring a full-time HVAC and Refrigeration Technician. Reporting to the Facility Operations Manager, the HVAC and Refrigeration Technician will work with the Event and Maintenance team providing technical support services and some preventative maintenance and repair of a variety of complex stadium systems.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:
- Various HVAC, refrigeration support and repairs for stadium events;
- Repair and maintain kitchen related equipment;
- Analyze and resolve technical concerns and perform maintenance duties as required;
- Follow all safe working practices and maintain a safe working environment. Adhere to the stadium health and safety regulations, including Health and Safety regulations and company policies.
WHAT YOU WILL BRING:
- Red Seal Certification as HVAC/Refrigeration Mechanic required;
- 4th class power engineering and/or Gas ticket an asset;
- Varied experience in building maintenance, electrical systems, mechanical repairs, troubleshooting;
- Solid understanding of operating and maintenance of equipment, working in a safe manner following WCB regulations;
- Able and willing to work varied shifts including days, evenings, overnights, weekends, and holidays as required;
- Familiarity with kitchen equipment repairs an asset;
- Fall protection, scissor lift, forklift training/certification an asset;
- Driven by service excellence.
Hourly Rate of Pay: $44.90
