Position Summary:
The Operator Class II - Loader_Forklift is responsible for the safe operation of forklifts and the unloading/loading of material. This position reports to the Yard Superintendent in Winnipeg.
Responsibilities
· Operate forklift in compliance with the company's operating safety policies and procedures
· Maintain forklift mechanical testing, through regular scheduled maintenance and operation
· Loading, unloading, picking, and packaging of products on Trailers, Rail-Cars and Rail-Containers, ensuring that the work remains safe, efficient and on schedule
· Comply with order packaging and checking loads are secure according to loading plan(s) and safety standards
· Maintain and ensure the yard is kept clean and organized
· Inspect shipments for proper quantity and quality ensuring no irregularities
· Report and document any shipment irregularities
· Other tasks or work to be assigned by Yard Superintendent
Qualifications
· Strong work ethic
· Capable of working outdoors in all weather conditions throughout the year
· Employee will be required to stand, sit, bend, twist, grip and use their hands and reach high and low items weight 11 to 75 pounds
· Valid Forklift operator License Minimum 3+ years experience preferred, or attend Forklift operator courses and achieve operator License
· Bondable
· Valid and current Class 5 Driver’s License.
· Ability to work in fast-paced environment and meet productivity standards
· Good attitude and ability to communicate with co-workers

Schedule:
· Day shift
· Monday to Friday (7:30am to 4pm)
T-RAIL offers a competitive $18.50–$20 hourly rate and some overtime may be required.
Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
Must be eligible to work in Canada.
Must be fluent in English (written and spoken)
