Department Overview

The Future Ready team is responsible for establishing a strategic roadmap & delivery oversight to support the Branch Banking business with elevating advice, increasing customers & colleague confidence and meeting more customer's needs.

Job Description

Reporting to the AVP, Colleague Confidence; this individual will be accountable for the strategic development of Learning and Development assets as part of the Confidence Journey program for all roles in Branch Banking. The Senior Manager, Confidence Journey Training Programs will work in collaboration with partners in HR Learning, to create colleague capability build programs.

The general accountabilities of this role include but are not limited to the following:

Creation of a high touch learning programs that will increased colleague capabilities for all roles in Branch Banking
Act as the business owner and lead development of Be Confident programs including provide updates to executive stakeholders and steering committee members
Work in close partners with the Personal Banking Delivery Excellence team to deploy training to roles across Branch Banking
Lead a team of 3-5 Managers within Future Ready who are responsible for acting as Pod Leads in training development
Maintain project delivery excellence expectations including managing a project budget of $5mm+
Leverage relationship management skills while working closely with key internal & external stakeholders including other HR, Product, Technology and other workstreams within Future Ready
Oversee established key milestones, timing/sequencing, risk assessment & change management plan for Colleague Confidence workstream, in partnership with learning project managers and vendors
Ensure adherence to all regulatory and risk/control requirements.
Collaborate with leaders across Canadian Personal Bank to ensure alignment to the long-term roadmap and strategic plan of his/her area

Job Requirements

Undergraduate degree required; Post Graduate degree preferred
Change Management certification considered an asset

Demonstrated expertise in the fields of coaching and training
Previous experience developing and executing on strategies and delivering superior results in both the short and long term
Proven ability in leveraging deep subject matter expertise to align teams to a central vision
Proven ability to manage and motivate a diverse group of professionals
Strong people management skills with demonstrated experience in leading high performing teams
Strong collaborator who engages colleagues, business partners, external stakeholders, and employees
Strong presentation and facilitation skills and strong interpersonal and leadership skills to facilitate working with senior management at all levels
Skillful communication (written and verbal), negotiation and partnership skills to balance stakeholder input but remain objective to reach the right outcome - ability to stay resilient under pressure
Expertise in working effectively in teams – requires a track record of working cross-organizationally and with multiple stakeholders at varying levels
Robust organizational skills with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple deadlines and priorities
Branch experience preferred
