About You
You are resourceful and take pride in having detail-oriented, well executed work. You’re a team player who will jump in and do what is needed to get the job done. As a self-starter, you’re not afraid to work without all of the information because you love to solve problems as you go. You are looking to be part of a dynamic industry and grow your human resources skills.
What You Will Do
· Provide consultation and advice on employee relations and HR issues
· Assist with hiring and terminations of employment
· Facilitate onboarding to set new employees up for success
· Submit and follow up on Workers Compensation Board requests
· Coordinate safety training and update important related documents
· Support plant with relevant documentation, spreadsheets, template creation also help out in the plant and other tasks as needed
What You Bring
· Previous experience working in an office environment
· Excellent verbal and written communication
· Tact, confidentiality and a high level of trust
· High attention to detail and a passion for doing great work
· Sound judgment and problem-solving skills
· Ability to work under pressure to accommodate requests and meet deadlines
· Excellent command of Microsoft Office suite including Excel
· Knowledge of WCB, HR policies, and office procedures is an asset
