What is the opportunity?
We’re looking for a Head of Sales to join and help scale our growing Dr. Bill business, and expand our positive contributions to the healthcare space.
Dr. Bill is an industry leading medical billing solution that has helped thousands of physicians overcome pains associated with getting paid. Physicians contribute so much to society, highlighted by their recent efforts during the COVID pandemic. At Dr. Bill, making physicians’ lives better is our Mission. We are committed to empowering them to spend more time on doing the things that they love, and less on administration and billing.
To support our Mission and growth, we are looking for a leader with demonstrated Sales team management experience and capability. We aren’t just looking for anybody. We need someone who can build a national salesforce from the ground up, and coach that team to exceed the high standards of excellence we strive for. We also need a strategic leader and customer advocate, someone who is constantly bringing customer feedback from the field into the organization – to fuel our constant drive to realize our Mission.
What will you do?
Build out Sales Playbook from the ground up
Build a high performing Sales organization from scratch
Coach and manage a high performing Outbound Field Sales Team and help them close deals
Work closely with cross-functional team members to design new processes and overcome hurdles
Be a source for identifying trends, opportunities and threats and communicate these effectively to the organization
Manage key customer relationships and accounts, ensuring that issues are surfaced and customer service excellence is attained
Ensure that Sales and Business Development activities align with Dr. Bill and RBC values and policies
What do you need to succeed?
Years of experience directly managing a high performing Outbound Field Sales Team that is remote across multiple provinces.
Experience building a performance-driven sales organization from the ground up, from scratch. You know how to set targets at both an individual and team level, how to track detailed progress towards those targets, and how to manage the team to hit those targets.
Extensive experience using a CRM to manage a team, manage the workload, and track progress
Years of hands-on experience generating leads for outbound contact.
Years of hands-on experience with pitching and closing deals, with a strong track record with managing and closing sales cycles – from simple to complex
Experience with startup SAAS sales strongly preferred

Strong C-level presentation and communication skills, both formal and informal
