Job Description
The Pressure Welder will be involved in pressure piping projects, starting with fabrication of 2"- 60" pipes using MIG roots with a fluxcore cap. This role includes setting up, preparing, fabricating, and finishing projects, as well as fitting components together using a rolling system. The welder may also assist around the facility if there are delays in vessel work, with the potential for longer-term employment.

Essential Skills
-
Proficiency in pressure welding, MIG, TIG, and Stick welding.

Red Seal certification.

B Pressure Welder and Journeyman welder qualifications.

Experience in fitting and fabricating pipes, with a minimum of 3 years.

Familiarity with stainless steel and pressure pipe projects.
Additional Skills & Qualifications

Experience with seam and circ welds is a plus.

Knowledge of prep cuts and structural CWB tickets.

Experience in a supervisory or lead role is advantageous.

Work Environment
The work takes place in a fabrication shop with approximately 30 employees, specializing in spooling, welding, coating, and lining pressured pipes. The shop is conveniently located in the SE industrial sector. Initially, work will be during the day shift from 7AM-3:30PM, Monday to Friday, with potential for 10-hour shifts and Saturday work as required. A transition to the night shift, from 3PM-1:30AM, Monday to Thursday, is possible, with a $3 premium for night shifts.
