About the Role
We are a growing directional drilling company seeking an experienced Driller / Locator to join our 3–4 person crew. We specialize in installing cable and conduit using Vermeer drills.
This is a hands-on role for someone who can take the lead in the field and work with minimal supervision.
MUST HAVE EXPERIENCE DRILLING ON A 20x20 VERMEER DRILL AND LOCATING EXPERIENCE. If you can’t meet this requirement please do not apply.
Responsibilities
- Operate Vermeer directional drills safely and efficiently
- Locate and steer drill rods during bore operations
- Read maps, plans, and properly lay out drill shots
- Lead or support a small crew in daily operations
- Ensure work is completed accurately and on schedule
- Maintain equipment and follow all safety procedures
What We’re Looking For
- Minimum 2 years experience as a directional driller and/or locator
- Ability to work independently and take initiative
- Strong understanding of bore planning and execution
- Comfortable working in a physically demanding outdoor environment
- Reliable, safety-focused, and team-oriented
Requirements
- Valid driver’s license with clean abstract
- Ground Disturbance Level 2 certification
- Willingness to travel within Central Alberta
