Job Summary
Our Edmonton branch is currently seeking a Journeyman Millwright to join our Services Team. We’re looking for knowledgeable, experienced, and highly motivated individuals who have great work ethic and enjoy working in a team-focused environment.
Main Responsibilities:
- Alignments, maintenance, repair, service and inspection of fixed rotating equipment
- Proficient in the use of machining tools, hand tools, power tools, and precision measurement tools
- Perform preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, diagnosis and repair of mechanical equipment.
- Assemble machinery and commission start up support.
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings and manuals.
- Shutdown service support and asset rebuilds.
- Keep work area and equipment in a safe, clean and orderly condition.
- Perform duties and operate equipment in a safe and satisfactory manner.
- Safely operate mobile equipment and hoisting devices when necessary
- Complete all jobs in a timely manner.
- Able to work Individually or in larger group atmospheres.
- Mentor apprentices through their professional development
Job Requirement
- Completion of high school and or post-secondary education
- Millwright Journeyman Certificate
- 5 or more years’ experience Basic experience with rigging equipment
Skills and Abilities
- Must be able to work with minimal direction.
- Critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Willingness and ability to work overtime.
- Willingness to travel and work shiftwork.
- Leadership experiences an asset.
- Experience working on a multi-trade crew.
- Provide Drivers Abstract
- Ability to pass pre-access and post-incident drug and Alcohol test
