Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Maintenance/Landscaper/Labourer to join our team. This versatile role involves maintaining and enhancing outdoor and indoor spaces through landscaping, gardening, and general maintenance tasks. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, mechanical aptitude, and experience with various tools and equipment to ensure the upkeep of our properties. This position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment where attention to detail and physical stamina are essential.
Responsibilities
- Perform landscape maintenance including mowing, trimming, planting, and fertilizing to keep outdoor areas attractive and healthy
- Operate heavy machinery such as excavators for excavation or construction projects
- Install and maintain irrigation systems to ensure proper watering of landscapes
- Use hand tools and power tools for gardening, construction, and repair tasks
- Conduct routine maintenance on equipment and machinery to ensure optimal performance
- Assist with construction projects, including site preparation and material handling
- Maintain cleanliness of work sites by removing debris and ensuring safety standards are met
- Support general labour duties as needed across various projects and locations
Qualifications
- Prior experience with landscape maintenance, gardening, or horticulture is preferred
- Mechanical knowledge related to equipment operation and basic repairs is advantageous
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and construction equipment such as excavators is desirable
- Knowledge of irrigation systems, landscaping techniques, and horticultural practices is a plus
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks including lifting heavy loads and working outdoors in various weather conditions
- Strong attention to safety protocols and ability to follow instructions accurately
- Previous construction or maintenance experience is beneficial but not mandatory; training will be provided for specific duties as needed
- Must have valid drivers licence and vehicle to get to and from work
Pay: $18.00-$25.00 per hour
