Overview
THM Technical Services Group is hiring an experienced Electrical Foreman for an industrial construction project at a mine site in Northern British Columbia.
We are looking for a strong working Foreman who can lead an electrical crew, plan daily work and maintain productivity while ensuring installations are completed safely, correctly and in accordance with project requirements.
This position will work closely with the Electrical Supervisor and Project Management team to execute the electrical construction scope.
Details:
- Pay: $65.00/HR
- Rotation: 14 days on/14 days off
- Shift: 12 hours/day
- Overtime: After 8 hours/day and weekends
- Camp: Provided
- Flights: Provided
- Start: Immediate and throughout September
Responsibilities
- Lead the day-to-day activities of an electrical construction crew.
- Plan and organize daily work.
- Review electrical drawings and work packages.
- Coordinate manpower, materials, tools and equipment.
- Complete field walkdowns before starting work.
- Coordinate: Cable tray installation, Cable pulling, Equipment installation, Grounding, Terminations and Electrical testing
- Assign work and monitor crew productivity.
- Identify field conflicts and construction constraints.
- Communicate RFIs and potential changes to supervision.
- Coordinate with other trades.
- Track daily progress and quantities.
- Support QA/QC inspections and turnover documentation.
- Maintain required field documentation.
- Provide hands-on field leadership when required.
- Ensure work is completed safely and to project quality requirements.
Requirements
- Red Seal Construction Electrician – required.
- Strong industrial electrical construction experience.
- Previous Electrical Foreman or Lead Hand experience.
- Strong knowledge of industrial electrical installations.
- Experience with cable tray, cable installation, grounding, equipment installation and terminations.
- Able to read and interpret electrical drawings.
- Strong crew leadership and planning ability.
- Mining experience preferred.
- Oil and gas, petrochemical, pipeline or other heavy industrial experience will also be considered.
- Experience supporting QA/QC and turnover is an asset.
- Strong communication skills.
- Able to meet mine-site access requirements.
