Job Purpose: To patrol hotel and associated premises to maintain order, enforce rules and regulations, and insure observance of applicable laws.
Job Responsibilities:
- Ensure safety and security of guests and employees
- Assess behaviour, identify suspicious activity and potential threats
- Provide instructions and information to guests
- React and respond to public and employee safety concerns
- Inform Management of all incidents, including preparing computer generated reports
- Be visible to customers as they enter/exit the premises
- Diffuse situations, in an assertive and courteous manner
- Physically check all properties as needed
- Assist the overall operation by performing duties as needed
Required Skills:
- Good computer skills and report writing
- Strong interpersonal skills, highly collaborative and an effective team member
- Think clearly and react quickly in emergencies.
- Learn and apply rules and procedures which are sometimes hard to understand.
- Make conclusions based on facts and also on your own personal judgment.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid Security Guard License
- Standard First Aid and CPR certificates
- Valid Smart Serve certification
- Valid Ontario Drivers License
Hours of work:
Must be available to work all shifts, including weekends, evenings, midnights & holidays.
