Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and efficient Sorter / Unloader to join our warehouse team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for unloading shipments, ensuring that all products are handled safely and efficiently. This role requires physical stamina and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. The Unloader will play a crucial part in maintaining the flow of goods within our warehouse operations. The AM shift starts at 4:00 AM, you must have access to your own transportation as the buses don't run at this time. We have a Step rate in place, starting rate is $22.30, current top rate $29.74
Duties
- Unload shipments from delivery trucks and containers, ensuring that all items are accounted for and undamaged.
- Sort and organize products for storage or distribution, adhering to safety protocols at all times.
- Operate pallet jacks to move large pallets and materials as needed.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area to promote safety and efficiency within the warehouse.
- Collaborate with team members to meet daily operational goals and deadlines.
- Perform routine inspections on equipment to ensure proper functioning and report any mechanical issues.
- This is a fast pace shift and a very good cardio workout!
Experience
- Previous experience in shipping and receiving or warehouse operations is preferred.
- Familiarity with Greater Victoria is an asset for sorting inbound freight.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting (up to 50 pounds) consistently throughout the shift.
