Now hiring for a 4-month term
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain, repair, and inspect municipal equipment including water/sewer trucks, heavy equipment, and vehicles
- Diagnose and resolve mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues
- Ensure safety compliance and operational reliability
- Collaborate with operators and the Public Works team to support municipal operations
- Maintain documentation about work completed
- Assist in supervision of apprentice
Qualifications
- Red Seal Mechanic from a Heavy Equipment Technician program.
- Experience maintaining and repairing a variety of heavy equipment.
- Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills.
- Valid driver’s license (class 3 an asset).
- Willingness to live and work in a remote northern setting.
Compensation
- Competitive wage, plus Northern Settlement Allowance
