POSITION SUMMARY:
Reporting to the Project Manager, the Construction Site Superintendent leads a team of construction professionals. This position manages the construction activities at the project site. The Construction Site Superintendent implements and enforces D. Grant Construction Limited policies and programs, and ensures the project is safely constructed in accordance with design, quality expectations, budget and schedule.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Supervise and coordinate all daily on-site construction activities
- Implement the company’s Health and Safety Policy and Program to create a safe work environment throughout the jobsite and adhere to the safety and record keeping requirements.
- Hold employees and subcontractors accountable for safety performance
- Develop a construction plan to manage employee and subcontractor activities
- Complete paperwork as required
- Responsible to review subcontractor scope of work and schedule
- Ensure project plans and schedule are followed and work is within compliance of design requirements
- Ensure an adequate number of photographs showing progress and issues of concern are taken weekly and submitted to head office
- Responsible for monitoring and effective management of all rental equipment
- Ensures quality workmanship
- Responsible for ensuring subcontractor commissioning of equipment and systems
- Ensure all deficiencies are corrected in a timely matter
- Advise senior management of potential problems at early stages and assists in their resolution
- Perform additional duties assigned by senior management as required for successful project completion
EDUCATION & QUALIFICATIONS:
- 5 years minimum progressive institutional construction experience
- In-depth knowledge of the construction industry operations specifically construction specifications, building materials, methods and procedures, and construction safety.
- Working knowledge of MS Office Programs
- Knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety Act and Regulations for Construction

Pay: $110,000.00-$140,000.00 per year
