Farraline Home is seeking a compassionate, dependable Casual Home Support Worker to join our team. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working with seniors, is able to work independently, and takes initiative in providing excellent resident care and support.
Position Type: Casual
Shift Length: 12-hour shifts (7:30 AM – 7:30 PM or 7:30 PM – 7:30 AM)
Applicants must be available to work the following scheduled shifts:
Night Shifts
- July 24, 25 & 26
- August 21, 22 & 23
Day Shifts
Additional casual shifts may become available based on operational needs, sick calls, and vacation.
Responsibilities
- Housekeeping and maintaining resident living spaces
- Supporting residents with day-to-day needs
- Assisting residents with receiving medications as directed
- Serving meals and assisting residents in the dining room
- Answering doors and greeting visitors
- Monitoring resident wellbeing and reporting any changes or concerns
- Maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment
- Working independently while providing compassionate support to residents
Qualifications
- Reliable, compassionate, and dependable
- Able to work independently and use good judgment
- Takes initiative and is self-motivated
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience working with seniors or in a healthcare setting is considered an asset
- Must be legally eligible to work in Canada
