We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Senior Project Manager to join our team.
The successful candidate will oversee and manage construction projects from conception to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time and within budget. As a Senior Project Manager, you will play a key role in coordinating project teams, liaising with clients, and implementing effective project management strategies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage construction projects, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including architects, engineers, contractors, and subcontractors.
- Develop and implement project plans, schedules, and budgets.
- Ensure all team members have read and understood project objectives, including project specifications/agreements and head contract requirements.
- Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
- Effectively communicate project status, issues, and resolutions to stakeholders.
- Analyze and mitigate project risks and challenges.
- Foster positive relationships with clients, subcontractors, and other project stakeholders.
- Provide leadership and mentorship to project teams.
- Ensure compliance with all Occupational Health & Safety Acts / Construction Safety Act regulations applicable to the Province where the project is being executed.
- Responsible for all financial requirements of the project, including revenue forecasting, billing, and approval of payments.
- Mentor and inform all subordinates of processes and procedures.
- Ensure total completion of the project, contractually and financially.
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in construction management, Civil Engineering, Certified Engineering Technologist or PMP Certification.
- 5+ years experience in an Ontario construction company at the PM level or above.
- Proven track record of successful project management of significant building and public infrastructure restoration/renewal construction projects up to $20 million.
- Deep expertise and a proven track record concerning the continuous improvement of project delivery services and value-added constructability processes and practices.
- High proficiency and experience with the Full Suite of Microsoft Office.
- Firsthand knowledge of Jonas Premier required, with preference given to those with extensive experience, including implementation.
- Ability to inspire trust in difficult situations by instilling confidence and engaging people on matters that affect them.
- Ability to forge, grow and maintain positive industry partner relationships.
- Ability to work within tight deadlines and prioritization of work to achieve them.
- Strong critical thinking, troubleshooting, presentation and problem-solving skills.
- Highly developed interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills.
- Superior written and verbal communication skills in English, at multiple levels: client/owner representative, construction site, etc.
- Possess a valid drivers license.
