Job Overview
We are seeking dedicated and skilled TCPs (Traffic Control Personnel) and LCTs (Lane Closure Technicians) to support construction and paving projects. These roles are vital for ensuring safety, efficiency, and smooth traffic management at various job sites. Candidates should have a strong work ethic, attention to safety protocols, and experience working with heavy equipment or in construction environments. Both full-time positions and internships are available, with all roles compensated accordingly.
Duties
- Set up and maintain traffic control devices such as cones, barriers, and signage to direct vehicle and pedestrian flow around construction zones
- Operate heavy equipment safely when required for site preparation or paving activities
- Assist with paving operations, including preparing surfaces and managing materials
- Support construction teams by handling equipment, materials, and tools needed for project completion
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations at all times
- Monitor work zones for hazards or issues, reporting any concerns to supervisors promptly
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment to promote safety and efficiency
Skills
- Experience operating heavy equipment such as loaders, excavators, or pavers is highly desirable
- Construction experience, especially in paving or roadway projects, is a strong plus
- Knowledge of traffic control procedures and safety protocols
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions for extended periods
- Strong attention to detail and adherence to safety standards
- Good communication skills for coordinating with team members and supervisors
- Ability to follow instructions precisely and work effectively in a team environment
