Responsibilities
- Efficiently wash, rinse, and sanitize dishes, utensils, pots, and pans to uphold food safety standards
- Assist with basic food preparation tasks such as peeling, chopping, or organizing ingredients under supervision
- Maintain cleanliness of kitchen stations, including sweeping and mopping floors, emptying trash bins, and sanitizing work surfaces
- Support the kitchen staff by organizing supplies and ensuring all necessary items are readily available for meal service
- Follow proper food handling procedures to prevent contamination and ensure compliance with health regulations
- Help with meal assembly or plating when needed to assist in timely service during busy hours
- Monitor inventory levels of cleaning supplies and notify management when restocking is required
Experience
- Previous experience working in a restaurant or food service environment is preferred but not required; training will be provided
- Familiarity with basic cooking techniques and food handling practices is advantageous
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper sanitation procedures is a plus
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail
