Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Apprentice Refrigeration Mechanic to join our team. This entry-level position offers hands-on experience in refrigeration, HVAC, and mechanical systems, providing a valuable foundation for a career in refrigeration and maintenance. The apprentice will work closely with experienced technicians to develop skills in diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining refrigeration units, boilers, and related mechanical systems. Duties
- Assist with installation, maintenance, and repair of refrigeration systems and HVAC units
- Learn to interpret schematics and technical diagrams for troubleshooting purposes
- Support with plumbing tasks related to refrigeration and HVAC equipment
- Participate in welding activities as needed for repairs or system modifications
- Perform routine maintenance tasks under supervision to ensure system efficiency
- Help diagnose mechanical issues using industry-standard tools and techniques
- Support appliance repair tasks involving refrigeration units and related appliances
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment adhering to safety protocols
Experience
- Prior experience or familiarity with plumbing, welding, boiler systems, or HVAC is a plus but not required; training will be provided
- Mechanical knowledge gained through coursework or previous employment is advantageous
- Experience with maintenance or mechanic work, including appliance repair or construction projects, is beneficial
- Ability to read schematics and technical diagrams is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided
- Strong interest in learning about refrigeration systems, HVAC technology, and mechanical systems
- Willingness to work hands-on tasks in various environments with safety awareness and attention to detail
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $20.15-$42.80 per hour
