Duties
- Prepare and assemble food orders efficiently, ensuring quality and presentation standards are met
- Operate point-of-sale (POS) systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS for order processing and cash handling
- Take customer orders with enthusiasm, upselling menu items to enhance sales and customer satisfaction
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in the food prep area, including proper food handling and sanitation practices
- Manage cash transactions accurately, including cash handling and basic math calculations for change
- Assist with food safety compliance by following proper procedures for food storage, temperature control, and hygiene
- Support other team members by bussing tables, cleaning workstations, and ensuring a welcoming environment
Qualifications
- Previous experience in food service, quick service restaurants, or retail food environments is preferred but not required
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is advantageous
- Strong customer service skills with a positive attitude and excellent communication abilities
- Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail
- Basic math skills for cash handling, sales transactions, and inventory management
- Knowledge of food safety standards and sanitation procedures in the food industry
- Kitchen or café experience is a plus; willingness to learn new skills is essential
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks such as lifting supplies or bussing tables
