Location: Specsavers – Marlborough Mall (Part-time, evenings/weekends availability, with a potential for full-time based on performance)
At Specsavers, we’re focused on delivering outstanding eye care and an exceptional customer experience. We’re looking for a friendly, detail-oriented Optical Associate who enjoys helping people look and feel their best.
What you’ll do
- Greet customers and deliver an exceptional in-store experience
- Assist customers in selecting frames and lenses that suit their lifestyle, prescription, and budget
- Explain lens options, coatings, and promotions clearly and confidently
- Process sales, payments, and insurance claims accurately
- Book eye exams and manage appointment scheduling
- Receive training on our VDT measuring system to help ensure each customer’s glasses are measured and fitted accurately
- Support day-to-day store operations, including merchandising and inventory
- Work closely with optometrists and the wider team to ensure smooth patient journeys
What we’re looking for
- Customer service or retail experience (optical experience is an asset, but not required)
- Strong communication skills and a genuine desire to help people
- Comfort working in a sales environment with targets and KPIs
- Attention to detail and ability to multitask
- Team-oriented, reliable, and professional
- Willingness to learn optical products, systems, and processes
