We are looking for a Manager, Administrative and Health & Safety Services to support our Construction Research Centre. The Manager, Administrative and Health & Safety Services would be someone who shares our core values of Integrity, Excellence, Respect and Creativity.
The Manager, Administrative and Health & Safety Services is responsible for ensuring the efficient and effective operation of the Construction Research Centre’s administrative and Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) services across the research centre and ensures their alignment with NRC Common Services. The AHS Services Manager recommends, develops and implements administrative and health and safety policies and procedures, and ensures performances are met.
Other key activities include:
- Recommending administrative and health and safety priorities to senior management for the research centre Operational Plan.
- Recommending action plans to senior management to solve issues and mitigate risks.
- Leading administrative and health and safety change management initiatives in collaboration with NRC Common Services.
- Representing the Construction Research Centre at various corporate working groups and task forces.

- Experience in interpreting and implementing policies, procedures, guidelines and providing related advice and recommendations to senior management and staff.
- Significant experience in leading administrative services and processes, and supervising staff in a matrix organization.
- Experience in health and safety principles and practices.
- Significant experience using MS Office tools and SAP or data management systems including DocZone.
- Experience organizing and analyzing complex information establishing/writing clear and concise dashboards, procedures or reports to address corporate requests would be considered an asset.
- Experience in process improvement principles and practices would be considered an asset.
