Starsky Fine Foods is seeking an experienced individual for Driver/Material Handler position.
The position is responsible for organizing and moving merchandise to designated locations using a pallet jack or other manual material handling equipment.
The Delivery Driver/Material Handler will work with members of the Food Terminal, company’s Receivers, and other members to increase company profitability by delivering complete, accurate and on-time deliveries to the company’s locations. The Delivery Driver/Material Handler will represent the company in a highly professional, safe and cost-effective manner and will comply with all applicable traffic and safety legislation.
Job Requirements:
- Valid DZ License and good driving record are required
- Valid Raymond Reach Forklift license an asset
- Previous relevant driving experience in the Toronto, Mississauga and the GTA is highly preferred
- Early mornings (Full Time)
- Lifting up to 50 lbs
- Able to read maps and accurately plan routes
- Accuracy and attention to detail
- Professional demeanor
- Able to handle difficult situations with diplomacy and tact
- Capable of following written instructions and documented procedures
- Effective listening, verbal and written communication skills
