The Sr. Advisor, Psychological Health & Safety is a key role in Employee Relations (ER), reporting directly to the Manager, Psychological Health & Safety (PHS) in ER. This position provides expert, senior level consultation, & strategic guidance on high risk or politically sensitive ER & PHS matters. The position is responsible for developing, promoting, & implementing policies, programs, & initiatives that foster psychologically safe, inclusive & respectful workplaces aligned with organizational goals. The Sr. Advisor offers expert senior level advice & training to HR specialists, centers of expertise, management, & other partners on complex issues related to the employer & employee relationship which intersect Human Rights & Occupational Health & Safety & employment legislation, organizational policies, and PHS standards. The role focuses on eliminating systemic barriers & building PHS workplaces. Key responsibilities include leading the development & implementation of programs, training, & resources based on evidence-based practices & industry standards; maintaining online tools & resource materials; & contributing to strategic planning, evaluation of integrated ER, HR & Workplace Health & Safety (WHS) programs. The Sr. Advisor builds strong collaborative relationships with operational leaders, HR & WHS teams. They will lead meetings, committees, & project teams while building organizational competence around PHS, & integrated HR & ER programs. The position also oversees data collection, analysis, & reporting to inform decision-making to develop action plans based on legislation & best practices. They also manage multiple projects & priorities, including audits, stakeholder engagement, program evaluations, prepare reports & recommendations for leadership.

Required Qualifications:
Undergraduate or post-secondary degree in HR, Organizational Psychology or related areas.
Additional Required Qualifications:
At least 7 years of experience at an advanced Advisor or Sr. Advisor level working in Psychological Health & Safety, Diversity & Inclusion, Respectful Workplaces and HR. A strong working knowledge of PHS, psychosocial factors and the psychological hazards and their associated controls.
Preferred Qualifications:
CPHR AB Designation. PHS Advisor training. Canadian Registered Safety Professional. Pattern of professional & personal development. Strong knowledge of ER, legislation & collective agreements. Expertise in critical thinking & navigating conflict. Skilled in project management, training development & deliver, communications, & relationship-building. Ability to manage complex & sensitive issues. Strategic & systems thinker with flexibility & cultural awareness.
