We are in search of a skilled Cook / Sous Chef to contribute to our culinary excellence. The ideal candidate will be adept at preparing meals according to our standardized recipes, ensuring impeccable food presentation, and maintaining a hygienic work environment. This is a shift-based role, including weekends and holidays, as a reminder, our golf course operates seasonally.
Responsibilities:
- Execute the preparation of key components for each menu item using established recipes
- Memorize and adhere to portion sizes and standard meal preparation procedures
- Uphold restaurant cleaning standards in the kitchen and food storage areas
- Collaborate with fellow cooks to streamline portion prep for different shifts
- Monitor product freshness and implement a rotation schedule for inventory
- Oversee kitchen operations to maintain efficiency and quality
Skills:
- High school diploma
- Ability to stand for extended periods (8 hours or more)
- Professionalism and teamwork in a fast-paced kitchen environment
- Strong verbal communication and organizational abilities
- Capacity to lift a minimum of 40 pounds regularly
- Minimum 1 year of cooking and kitchen administration experience
- Familiarity with food safety protocols (Food Safe, SafeCheck, Food Handler or equivalent)

Duties:
- Prepare, season, and cook food as per guidelines, considering dietary requirements
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently
- Maintain a clean and safe workstation, following sanitation guidelines
- Oversee overall kitchen operations
- Keep records of food, supplies, and equipment inventory
