The Whitby Coin Laundry is looking for a reliable, organized, and customer-focused Wash & Fold Specialist to join our team. This part-time role includes completing customer laundry orders, assisting customers, cleaning the laundromat, and helping ensure the facility runs smoothly during each shift.
Responsibilities:
- Receive, weigh, label, and organize Wash & Fold orders
- Check pockets and identify stains or special-care items
- Sort laundry by colour, fabric type, and washing instructions
- Wash, dry, fold, package, and store customer orders carefully
- Provide friendly and professional customer service
- Keep washers, dryers, folding tables, carts, floors, counters, washroom, and customer areas clean
- Monitor equipment and report machine issues immediately
- Follow all laundry-handling, sanitation, and safety procedures
Qualifications:
- Previous customer service experience
- Reliable, punctual, and responsible
- Strong attention to detail
- Able to work independently and stay productive
- Comfortable handling different types of clothing and laundry
- Able to follow instructions and complete order forms accurately
- Able to stand for extended periods and lift laundry bags
- Available for mixed part-time shifts, including weekdays, evenings, and weekends
- Laundry, cleaning, retail, or hospitality experience is an asset
