Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Line Cook/Prep Cook to join our busy kitchen team. This role is essential in ensuring the smooth operation of food preparation and service, delivering high-quality dishes to our guests. The ideal candidate will have a passion for cooking, food safety, and providing excellent food service in a fast-paced restaurant environment.
Duties
- Prepare ingredients and assemble dishes according to recipes and standards
- Assist in meal preparation, including chopping, marinating, and portioning ingredients
- Cook menu items with consistency and attention to presentation
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations and kitchen equipment
- Follow food safety guidelines and proper handling procedures at all times
- Support the serving staff by ensuring timely delivery of prepared dishes
- Monitor stock levels and communicate needs for replenishment
- Adhere to sanitation standards and health regulations to ensure a safe working environment
Experience
- Previous experience in a restaurant or food service setting is preferred
- Knowledge of food preparation techniques, cooking methods, and kitchen safety practices
- Familiarity with food handling procedures and sanitation standards within the food industry
- Experience with meal preparation and serving in a fast-paced environment is advantageous
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining quality standards
