Role Summary
Reporting directly to the Corporate CFO, the VP of Finance is a senior leader responsible for the full spectrum of financial operations across a public, multi-entity organization. This person will own budgeting and forecasting, cash flow, public-company financial reporting and audit, SEC compliance, and the internal control environment — while building the systems and processes that allow finance to scale with the business. This is a true "build-it" role for someone who has done it before and can hit the ground running.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the annual budgeting process and ongoing forecasting, partnering with business-line leaders to align financial plans with strategic goals.
Own cash flow management, including liquidity planning, working capital optimization, and treasury oversight across multiple entities.
Oversee cross-company accounting, ensuring accurate consolidation, intercompany reconciliation, and consistent policies across all business lines.
Manage the public company audit end-to-end, serving as the primary liaison with external auditors and ensuring timely, clean completion.
Direct public-company financial reporting, including the preparation and review of quarterly and annual financial statements.
Lead SEC reporting and compliance, including 10-K, 10-Q, 8-K, and related filings, ensuring full compliance with SEC and GAAP requirements.
Manage payment and disbursement processes, with strong oversight controls over approvals and outflows.
Oversee insurance and regulatory compliance across the organization.
Prepare and assist with board packages and board reporting, distilling complex financials into clear materials for the CFO and Board.
Support Investor Relations (IR), including earnings materials, investor data requests, and analyst-facing reporting.
Design, implement, and continuously improve accounting systems, processes, and internal controls (including SOX-readiness/compliance) to support a scaling, multi-asset business.
Required Qualifications
CPA or CA designation (active and in good standing).
Significant public-company experience with hands-on SEC reporting and compliance.
Demonstrated track record of building financial systems, processes, and strong internal accounting controls from the ground up.
Strong technical accounting expertise under US GAAP; SOX experience strongly preferred.
Proven ability to work independently and own outcomes in a fast-paced, ambiguous, high-growth environment.
Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills, with the ability to present to executives and the Board.

Years of experience: 12–15+ years of progressive finance/accounting experience with 5+ years in public-company environments is preferrable
Industry exposure: Experience in digital assets, fintech, crypto, AI, or other high-growth/regulated multi-entity sectors is a strong plus.
Leadership / team scope: Strong team enironment exists and being able to work within a team but also independently is a must!
Systems / tools: Quickbooks Online, Syft, Ramp, Slack, strong ERP experience and advanced Excel/modeling, and BI tools are essential.
Competencies: Ownership mindset - own the process, comfort with ambiguity (we move fast), executive presence, and high integrity given the controls/compliance nature of the role.
M&A / capital markets: Prior experience in M&A and due diligence, capital raises, or secondary offerings will be advantageous.
Travel requirements : From time to time, may be required to travel to NY or SF for onsite work as required.
