Reporting into the Manager, CRM, the Email Marketing Specialist leads direct-to-consumer Marketing programs for 10+ of Canada’s most iconic restaurant brands including Swiss Chalet, Harvey’s, Fresh Restaurants, The Burger’s Priest, and The Keg. This individual will be a subject matter expert on email marketing, push notifications, and lifecycle marketing strategies.
Responsibilities:
Collaborate with 10+ of Canada’s favourite restaurant Brands in the strategic planning of their direct-to-consumer marketing communications
Research and understand the omnichannel customer journey and purchase cycle (in-restaurant and online)
Act as an internal strategic consultant, guiding our Brands’ on communication strategies, industry best practices, new features, and new ways to drive digital engagement
Lead the creation and management of bi-weekly campaign calendars for all Brands
Design automated lifecycle marketing journeys based on event triggers, customer attributes, past behaviours, and x-sell/upsell tactics
Utilize SalesForce Marketing Cloud to execute all campaigns including batch email, push notifications, and automated multi-step journeys
Track and report on key performance indicators (KPIs), including database growth, campaign results, customer lifetime value (LTV), and churn
Go deeper, leveraging customer data to derive actionable insights about our Brands and our customers
Improve performance through A/B or multivariate testing of content, subject lines, deployment timing, segmentation, personalization, and offers
Analyze and provide recommendations to the Brand Marketing Teams and Leadership on how to improve our direct-to-consumer marketing programs
Develop strong x-functional relationships with Brand Marketing, Ecommerce, Website, and Business Insights Teams to execute campaigns and share learnings
Skills:
2+ years of digital marketing experience
2+ years hands-on experience with Email Service Provider - bonus points for Salesforce Marketing Cloud!
Experience with simple SQL queries, will be used to build customer segments
Bonus points for programming languages ampscript, CCS, HTML
Passion for lifecycle marketing and creating best-in-class customer experiences
Experience analyzing data to derive actionable insights to drive campaign and Brand success
Strong project management and written communication skills
Strong ability to prioritize tasks and manage deadlines in a fast-paced environment
A self-starting attitude—ready to seize opportunities to make an impact without needing to be told
Excellent time management skills
Comfortable presenting to groups of people, and leading x-functional teams
Excellent teamwork and collaboration skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and/or G-Suite
