Overview
The Packer/Adjuster will be responsible for ensuring the machine is functioning and producing to a quality standard acceptable to customer requirements and maintains fitness of machine by reporting any defects or malfunctions to supervisor as soon as possible.
Shift: Monday to Friday (Rotating 6:00am-2:00pm/2:00pm–10:00pm/10:00pm-6:00am)
Responsibilities
Ensure and enforce all company and safety policies in conjunction with the Occupational Health and Safety Act and all other applicable legislation
Ensure the layout and other instructions pertinent to the job is read and understood, paying close attention to width, code, bag positions, eyespots location, roll OD and other factors concerning schedule requirements including different varieties and material construction
Ensure dockets and schedule are checked for what is to be made and material used;
Accurately records all information required on the current Production Time Sheet which includes proper recording of set-up time, running time, maintenance time, Material On, Material Off and total production
Setting up and adjusting as needed on 4 bag making machines
Completing Quality Control Check Sheet every half hour or as required by customer, doing the necessary measurements & checks. Report any out of speculation bags to Quality or Supervisors
Reports to Supervisor any unusually large discrepancies with material on footage / roll stock;
Ensures every box receives the specified number of bags and labeled correctly
Maintains, at all times, good housekeeping and cleanliness around machine, keeping floor free of debris and always swept up
Perform monthly BOP audit and Quarterly Hidden Hazard
Performs all duties as outlined in the job description, plus any other duties that may be assigned by the Press Operator or Supervisor
Skills
Manufacturing experience is required and experience in flexible packaging preferred
High energy level, positive attitude and able to work effectively with other departments
Ability to establish a good and harmonious working relationship with all employees, forming a productive team effort;
Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to lift and move heavy objects as needed.

Pay: From $23.19 per hour
