Overview
We are seeking a motivated Apprentice Electrician to join our team and gain hands-on experience in electrical systems within industrial and construction environments. This entry-level position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals interested in developing their skills in electrical installation, maintenance, and repair under the guidance of experienced electricians. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a strong work ethic, a willingness to learn, and a passion for the electrical trade.
Responsibilities
- Assist licensed electricians in installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems and equipment.
- Use hand tools and power tools safely to perform tasks such as wiring, conduit bending, and fixture installation.
- Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings to understand project requirements.
- Work with low voltage systems as well as standard electrical wiring.
- Support the setup and teardown of construction sites, ensuring safety protocols are followed.
- Help troubleshoot electrical issues by following schematics and diagrams under supervision.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety standards at all times.
Qualifications
- Previous experience or familiarity with industrial electrician work is preferred but not required.
- Basic knowledge of electrical systems, hand tools, power tools, schematics, blueprint reading, and low voltage wiring is advantageous.
- Strong interest in construction and electrical trades with a desire to learn and grow professionally.
- Ability to work safely around construction sites and industrial environments.
- Good communication skills and the ability to follow instructions accurately.
- Must be able to work physically demanding tasks including standing for extended periods, lifting up to 50 pounds, and working at heights if necessary.
- Willingness to obtain necessary certifications or licenses as required by local regulations or company policies.
Pay: $25.00 per hour
