Dental Receptionist – Full-Time
New Sudbury Dental is looking for a friendly, organized, and dependable Dental Receptionist to join our growing team.
We are looking for someone who enjoys working with people, thrives in a busy environment, and takes pride in providing excellent patient service. The ideal candidate will be professional, approachable, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing multiple responsibilities throughout the day.
Responsibilities
- Greeting patients and creating a welcoming experience
- Answering telephone calls, emails, and patient inquiries
- Scheduling and confirming dental appointments
- Managing patient check-in and check-out
- Collecting and processing patient payments
- Reviewing treatment estimates and financial information with patients
- Assisting patients with dental benefit and insurance questions
- Sending predeterminations and processing dental claims
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date patient information
- Coordinating appointments and referrals between dentists, hygienists, specialists, and patients
- Managing recalls and following up with patients regarding outstanding treatment
- Supporting the clinical and administrative teams as required
- Maintaining patient confidentiality and professionalism at all times
Qualifications
- Previous dental reception experience is required
- Knowledge of dental terminology, procedures, and insurance processes is required.
- Experience with Abeldent software is preferred but not required.
- Strong computer and administrative skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong organizational and time-management abilities
- Ability to multitask and remain composed in a busy dental environment
- Professional, dependable, and punctual
- Positive attitude and strong team mentality
- Comfortable discussing treatment costs, insurance coverage, and financial arrangements with patients
