Responsibilities
- Assist residents and clients with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
- Support seniors and individuals with disabilities through compassionate caregiving and companionship
- Administer medications accurately following care plans and protocols
- Prepare nutritious meals and assist with feeding as needed to promote health and well-being
- Perform light cleaning duties to maintain a safe, hygienic living environment
- Monitor residents’ health status, report any changes or concerns to nursing staff or supervisors
- Engage residents in recreational activities to promote mental stimulation and social interaction
Requirements
- Prior experience working in assisted living facilities or nursing homes is highly preferred
- Demonstrated experience caring for seniors or individuals with disabilities, including dementia care
- Knowledge of medication administration procedures and safety protocols
- Strong caregiving skills combined with patience, empathy, and excellent communication abilities
- Ability to perform cleaning tasks and meal preparation efficiently
- Experience working with individuals with special needs or in home care settings is advantageous
- Certification as a Health Care Aide or equivalent is preferred but not mandatory; willingness to obtain certification is a plus
