Responsibilities
- Greet patients warmly and check them in upon arrival, ensuring a welcoming environment
- Manage multi-line phone systems to schedule appointments, answer inquiries, and relay messages accurately
- Verify patient insurance information and update electronic medical records using Abeldent and Max Assist software systems
- Collect patient payments and process billing transactions efficiently
- Prepare and organize patient charts, ensuring all documentation is accurate and up-to-date
- Assist with administrative tasks such as data entry, filing, and managing correspondence
- Coordinate appointment scheduling with the dental team to optimize daily workflow
- Maintain confidentiality of patient information in compliance with HIPAA regulations
- Support front desk operations by handling administrative duties related to medical terminology and office procedures
Skills
- Proven experience as a Dental Receptionist or in a similar dental or medical office setting
- Proficiency with dental practice management software such as Abeldent
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology and electronic medical records management
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a friendly demeanor
- Ability to handle multi-line phone systems efficiently under pressure
- Exceptional organizational skills with attention to detail
- Prior experience working with insurance verification and billing processes is preferred
- Familiarity with office equipment and administrative procedures in healthcare environments
- Ability to maintain professionalism, confidentiality, and a positive attitude in a busy setting
Pay: $25.00-$27.00 per hour
