Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking individual to join our team an Inventory Clerk and General Laborer. This role is essential in supporting various tasks across our operations, ensuring that projects are completed efficiently and safely. Laborers will work in a dynamic environment, contributing to the overall success of our projects while adhering to safety protocols and quality standards.
Responsibilities
- Order material and equipment from suppliers for upcoming projects. Coordinate on time delivery.
- Review supplier invoices to ensure proper pricing. Contact suppliers with information on any errors and follow up to ensure corrections are made.
- Assist with the loading and unloading of materials and equipment. Organize warehouse space for optimal use of space and ease of access to equipment.
- Operate hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely project completion.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment.
- Provide labor support for equipment installation and removal, may include digging and heavy lifting.
Experience
- Previous experience in construction or labor-intensive roles is preferred but not required.
- Familiar with HVAC and/or electrical terminology and material would be an asset.
- Familiar with safe use of hand tools and power tools.
- Proficient with computers, including Microsoft Suite of products and comfortable with learning new software.
- Able to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
- Ability to follow directions and work as part of a team.
- Able to work independently without supervisor. Have ambition and will take initiative in all aspect of work.
- Strong physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy objects (up to 50 pounds).
- Willingness to learn new skills and adapt to various tasks as needed.
