Job Overview
We are seeking a dependable Civil Construction Labourer to join our team. This role involves supporting various construction projects, primarily in the oil & gas industry, with a focus on safety, efficiency, and quality. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, physical stamina, and a willingness to learn and perform a variety of manual tasks on-site. This position offers an opportunity to develop skills in heavy equipment operation and mechanical tasks within a dynamic construction environment.
Responsibilities
- Assist with site preparation, including clearing and leveling ground
- Support the setup and dismantling of rigging and scaffolding
- Operate hand tools, power tools, and basic machinery under supervision
- Assist with the operation of heavy equipment such as forklifts and other machinery
- Perform general labor tasks including digging, lifting, and material handling
- Support welding activities as needed, following safety protocols
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment by adhering to safety standards and procedures
- Collaborate with team members to ensure project deadlines are met efficiently and safely
Experience
- Prior experience in civil construction or related field is preferred but not required
- Knowledge of rigging, mechanical systems, and heavy equipment operation is advantageous
- Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, welding techniques, and forklift operation is a plus
- Experience working in oil & gas construction environments is desirable
- Ability to work in physically demanding conditions and lift heavy loads regularly
- Willingness to learn new skills and adapt to various tasks on-site
