We are seeking a highly motivated individual to fill the temporary position of Water Treatment Plant Operator at Whale Cove, Nunavut. This position is to operate a new modular ultra-filtration WTP and is expected to be 6 - 8 months in duration, 4 weeks on - 4 weeks off.
Reporting to the Service Manager, the incumbent will be responsible for the operation, maintenance and permanent operator training of the new WTP, which incorporates DAF, submerged UF, UV and Chlorination.
Qualifications for this position include:
· Canadian Water Treatment Plant Operator Level II required
· Chlorine Handling Certification
· Level I Occupational First Aid
· Valid BC class 5 driver’s license.
Applicants must be prepared to provide proof of education/certification and a current driver’s abstract. Transportation, meals and lodging are included when on site in Whale Cove.
Long term employment at BI Pure Water, helping build and commission our water treatment plants is a possibility depending on candidates.
BI Pure Water may undertake any testing deemed necessary to assess an applicant and may involve the utilization of an independent company as required.
