Job Summary
The DI Ultrasound Technologist works as a member of the inter-professional health care team providing their professional expertise to internal/external customers and providing excellent patient care by following the guidelines and standards established by Sonography Canada and the College of Medical Radiation and Imaging Technologists of Ontario (CMRITO).
Qualifications
- 1-2 years current experience as a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (DMS)
- Graduate of an accredited ultrasound educational program, recognized by Sonography Canada and registered with the College of Medical Radiation and Imaging Technologists of Ontario (CMRITO) is mandatory
- The ability to perform general, obstetrical, small parts and peripheral vascular ultrasound exam is required
- 25 CME'S required per year as per CMRITO through continuing education
- Professional liability insurance through Sonography Canada or OAMRS is strongly recommended
- Demonstrated excellence in communication, both written and verbal
- Demonstrated problem assessment skills
- Demonstrated commitment to customer service and teamwork
- Demonstrated individual leadership skills
