The City of North Battleford is seeking a Financial Associate (Tax Clerk). This position reports to
the Finance Manager and requires the successful applicant to oversee a wide variety of
property tax duties.

Duties and Responsibilities include:
  • Maintain the property tax roll including entering change of ownerships, school support
changes, changes to the roll, communicating with law firms, preparation of tax certificates
and searches

  • Maintain assessment values on all properties including updating property assessment roll,
forwarding notification of change of assessment to property owners, provide assessment
sheets to owners, appraisers and realtors

  • Assist customers with property tax queries
  • Deal with mortgage companies including: maintaining mortgage records and request

  • Prepare and forward property tax notices to owners
  • Maintaining and advising customers the monthly instalment payment plan for property taxes

  • Property tax enforcement and record maintenance
  • Other property tax duties as assigned
  • Grade 12 supplemented by a commercial or business college diploma or
knowledge/experience as deemed acceptable by the City

  • Preference will be given to candidates with municipal experience or familiarity with
Information Service Corporation

  • Computer knowledge in Microsoft Word & Excel
  • Exceptional organizational and customer service skills
  • Ability to work independently and unsupervised
  • Strong written/verbal communication skills
  • Ability to maintain effective, co-operative relations with staff and the general public
Salary: As per CUPE Agreement - $22.26/hr

Commencement: As soon as possible
