CNC Operator (Rod Machines)

We are committed to innovation, precision, and safety in everything we manufacture. As we continue to grow, we are seeking a skilled CNC Machinist to join our team, specialising in Rod CNC machining.
Position Summary
As a CNC Operator focused on Rod’s production, you will be responsible for setting up, programming, and operating CNC machines to produce precision components according to engineering drawings and specifications. You’ll work with high-grade steel and ensure all rod products meet our stringent quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Set up and operate CNC lathes for rod machining operations.
- Interpret and work from technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications
- Program CNC machines using G-code or conversational controls
- Monitor the machining process and make necessary adjustments for optimal performance
- Inspect finished products to ensure accuracy, quality, and compliance
- Perform routine machine maintenance and troubleshooting
- Maintain a clean and organised workspace in accordance with safety standards
- Collaborate with the engineering and quality teams to continuously improve processes
Qualifications & Skills
- 2+ years of CNC machining experience (rod or tubular machining experience preferred)
- Education with a similar educational background is preferred.
- Experience in CNC Lathes is necessary.
- Proficiency in interpreting mechanical drawings and tolerances
- Familiarity with CNC programming (Okuma, Fanuc, Mazak, or similar controls)
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Basic understanding of measuring tools (callipers, micrometres, gauges)
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks in a manufacturing environment
Shift Timings:
· 7:30 am to 4:00 pm
· Monday to Friday
