We are actively recruiting for a Specialist, Sourcing and Contracting, reporting to the Manager, Procurement. This role is responsible for liaising between internal and external clients to source and execute contracts that support NorthRiver's ongoing capital and major projects that fall within business requirements.
Responsibilities:
- Provide guidance and support to the procurement team on supply chain best practices to ensure high performance and professional development.
- Foster a collaborative and positive work environment, encouraging teamwork and open communication.
- Collaborate with internal departments to develop and implement procurement strategies that align with the company's goals.
- Execute sourcing strategies from start to close and negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms with suppliers to achieve the best possible outcomes for the company.
- Support on-going contractual management activities including change orders, amendments, price reviews, and invoice issue resolution.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date procurement records and documentation, ensuring transparency, and audit readiness.
- Create reports and presentations that reflect market trends, supplier pricing, and industry conditions to mitigate risks, and optimize procurement activities.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and vendors.
- Participate in cross-functional projects aimed at improving overall supply chain performance as directed by procurement manager.
- Provide regular reports and updates to management on procurement performance, challenges, and opportunities.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Required:
- Degree in Supply Chain Management or Business Administration or a related field.
- 5 years of project and operations procurement experience.
- 5 years of relevant experience in the oil and gas industry.
Preferred:
- 8+ years' relevant procurement experience with a minimum of 8 years in the oil and gas industry.
- Advanced computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite, applicable contract management life cycle system and Internet. Demonstrated ability to prioritize multiple tasks and solve problems with minimal supervision.
- Sound analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with customers/stakeholders.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
