Job Summary
UMC High School is seeking a welcoming and highly organized Registration Officer for our campus front desk. This critical role balances exceptional customer service and guest relations with precise student data management, database tracking, and administrative support.
Core Responsibilities
- Front Desk Hospitality: Warmly greet visitors, handle the main phone lines, and efficiently connect incoming guests with school directors, marketers, or the Principal.
- Inquiry Management: Monitor and reply to school inquiries from parents, students, and educational agencies coming through the main administrative inbox.
- Attendance Tracking: Update daily student attendance records using the Edsembli database, issue late slips, and proactively notify parents of student absences.
- Registration & Student Records: Input new student registrations into digital files and set up/maintain physical Ontario Student Records (OSR).
- Tuition Bookkeeping: Securely process in-person and credit card payments for fees and transcripts, and compile organized transaction data for the school accountant.
- Daily School Support: Handle incoming/outgoing courier mail (FedEx), print documents, enforce the student uniform policy, and submit building maintenance requests via the portal.
Qualifications
- 1–2 years of reception, data entry, or office administration experience (prior experience in an Ontario school setting is highly preferred).
- Strong computer proficiency, especially with Google Workspace (Sheets, Docs); hands-on experience with Edsembli is a major asset.
- Excellent verbal and written English communication skills.
- Ability to multitask calmly and effectively at a bustling front desk while maintaining organized, error-free records.
Pay: From $40,000.00 per year
