Job Overview
We are seeking a friendly and energetic Ice Cream Server to join our team. This role involves providing excellent customer service, preparing and serving a variety of ice cream treats, and maintaining a clean and welcoming environment. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food service, strong multitasking skills, and a positive attitude to ensure our guests have a memorable experience.
Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and assist them in selecting ice cream flavors and toppings
- Prepare and serve ice cream cones, sundaes, floats, and other frozen treats with attention to presentation and quality
- Operate POS systems, including Micros POS, for processing transactions accurately
- Handle cash and credit card payments with proper cash handling procedures
- Maintain cleanliness of the serving area, utensils, and equipment in accordance with food safety and sanitation standards
- Upsell additional products such as toppings or specialty items to enhance customer satisfaction
- Manage time effectively during busy periods to serve customers efficiently
- Ensure food safety standards are consistently followed during food preparation and handling
- Assist in restocking supplies and maintaining inventory levels as needed
Requirements
- Previous experience in food service or restaurant environments is preferred but not required
- Knowledge of POS systems, including Micros POS, is a plus
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with guests of all ages
- Basic math skills for handling cash transactions and making change accurately
- Ability to manage time effectively during peak hours to ensure prompt service
- Understanding of food safety, sanitation, and proper food handling procedures
- Kitchen experience or food industry background is advantageous
- Excellent communication skills and a friendly demeanor
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks such as lifting supplies or equipment as needed
Pay: $17.60-$18.00 per hour
