We are looking for an Operational Estimator to work in our Burlington, Ontario location. Reporting to the Senior Estimator, the Operational Estimator is responsible for reviewing and analyzing drawing sets for scope changes, pricing change orders, preparing plans and workloads.
What you will be doing:
· Maintains a safe working environment by following Yvon’s health and safety guidelines.
· Reviews and analyzes drawings, specifications, and other documentation to prepare time, cost and labour estimates for projects.
· Gathers all information for the project team for the development of proposal bid package.
· Assembles accurate and well-organized estimates and proposals in a timely manner.
· Performs material quantity and labour takeoffs from isometric drawings.
· Ensures compliance with all relevant codes, standards, and regulations.
· Conducts on-site quality control inspections.
· Liaise, consult and communicate with engineers, contractors and subcontractors on changes and adjustment to cost estimates.
· Performs other duties as required.
Education
· Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering or related field.
Experience
· Greater than one year experience in a similar role.
